Jean and I couldn't sleep the night before the trip, however we still got up in time to get ready our stuff and took some pics before we left our car park to meet up with our buddies at GP Petronas.

Upon reaching as the first, Darren n Rachel came second followed by the others but the funny thing is the organiser came late asking everyone to come early, he was very smart because he know we cannot leave without his direction...... bish!

Once we moved off, it was weird as our convoy stretch too far behind one another, after we realise someone was actually taking nice pic of the nice scenery along the way.....

The first route to Pagoh was kinda messy as everyone was trying to get used to each other's riding style and also figuring why some were too far behind or some were blasting ahead like there is no tomorrow.....

Johnny was either too far behind or too far in front, but that was because he was nice to blast to the front so he could take some pics of us reaching the first stop Pagoh for some BF.....

We meet up with the 4 wheelers at Pagoh, had breakfast and took some pics together. Everyone were very cheerful this morning and looking ahead to KL !!

After filling our tummy, we pump our machine to max and left for Ayer Keroh for Bryant and Johnny to top up once more before riding none stop to SG Besi.

Reaching SG Besi Petronas, everyone was taking a good rest as the trip here wasn't smooth due to the slower traffic along the way.


Everyone pumped and took a break before heading to Hotel Nova.

The next stop was Hotel Nova at KL, the traffic is going to be mush worst so everyone rode slowly together. Upon reaching, we were glad we could parked our bikes right in front of the hotel, we unpacked and left our stuff in the locker room coz we couldnt check in until 2pm.

We walked to a near-by coffee shop to have our an early lunch and took our time to walk to a near-by shopping centre to pass our time.

After our breakfast, everyone took a walk to a near-by shopping centre to pass time. But eventually we bought alot of stuff.... I guess Jean really missed shopping in M'ysia, she was happily walking around even when we were so tired. When it was about time to leave, we even came to a herbal stall to have "Gui ling gao" Damn it was so much cheaper than in SG and much thicker!!


While walking to the shopping centre, we walked pass an apartment with lotsa balloons cartoon characters, it looked as if the restaurant below is trying to advertise itself.


We also walked passed a 24Hr 3 stored KFC, WOW!! anytime hungry also can eat!!!


Once reached the shopping centre, Jean immediately started her shopping spree....


We came pass a shop that looked like S'pore's "condom shop" and came across imported condom out a popular condom brand.


Andrew learnt about my condom and showed it to Amy, they got into a discussion and Andrew attempted to hide my condom away from me.... I caught him and snatch it back...


This was a what we had last year, and this time round, we got the same stuff again, it was nice to eat.....

Jean and I came across an accessories shop and bought a pair of Mickey Mouse Earrings.

It was about time to leave and check into out Hotel,
We decided to take a rest at this herbal shop and had some "Guai ling gao"


While walking back to our hotel, a big stall selling "ba gua" and various dried stuff.

Jean and I checked into the hotel room with Johnny, we were sharing rooms because Jean and I only decided to come along for this trip after our wedding. Johnny was nice to offer his room for sharing. Thank you Johnny. BTW, while writing this mail, I realise I havent transfer the hotel bills to u yet haha

Everyone took a bath, we need water so we all left to pick up some from the stalls below, Alan & Carine wanted to join us but took too long till it started raining, I msg Alan that we are going ahead first and we bought some necessities and food stuff as well as water. It was raining heavily already, even the umbrellas we bough didnt shelter us well from the rain.

Returned back to the hotel rooms and a few guys came over to join us with the snacks that we bought, Alan & Carine being very tired but jump up from their beds when hearing the word "tidbits"

It was getting late and we were all getting ready to return to our Restaurant that we din in last year same time. Dressed up for the occasion and left together.

We had a real hard time getting cab as it was super peak hour and traffic were very crazy in KL.
We resort to taking trains.

After reaching out destination, we still couldn't get to our restaurant, with problems getting cab again, we resort to Andrew's GPS, he was real useful this time round.

Approx 27 hours more before leave for KL trip at GP. I was eager for this relax trip...... backside itchy for some long dist. blasting.........
Jean was also looking forward too....

I just hope the entire trip will turn out safely and enjoyable for everyone......

This is my second time to Hatyai, but it was a first for Jean. The event was Hatyai bike week but other than that, most of the trip were about our friends, Jean and I enjoying ourselves.

I will start with the event first before going into the trip from the beginning.


The Stage of Hatyai bike week 2008, held at MUNICIPLE PARK

Most of the time were bands singing some oldies, country rocks and pops. Other than that u will be hearing some event VIPs talking about event is to bring Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia bikers or the nation closer in one way or another.

At Municiple Park, foreign bikes were the VIPS, we were allowed to park designated areas that show our importance. Along the with the parked bikes, were stalls of various bike accessories and apparels.

Directly below the stage were tables for us to fill. Liquors were sold as well as free food and fruits serves. Other than that, we spend the rest of our time either looking at various stalls or chit chatting away. It was a 2 day event, more or less, u will see the same thing for the 2 days.




Now I shall start my story, as usual, we gathered at 1 of the petrol station at GP. arriving about 11pm, we got ready and left for 4 stops like the last time. My first time riding to Hatyai was rather exciting exploring at the 3/4 part of the trip into new lands. But this time wasn't much of an excitment byut more of bring my Wife to see what I've seen. I always want to share my experiences with her, this is the right time, especially with some friends we were close to.


The last petrol station at malaysia before entering Thai border, we arrived at sun rise and the view was very comforting especially after riding for hours and hours.

1 VERY unfortunate incident happened, a first time long distant rider known to me as ANG, had lost his passport during the ride, he left his passport in his rear pocket of his super baggy jeans and it was missing when we all did a recheck before heading into Thailand. After much discussion, he went back Singapore alone.

Finally reaching Thai border, I was very happy to had brought Jean here, it was a truly 1 of a kind experience for us to cross 1 country to join an event on a bike none stop.

We had a stop at dunok as there was an advance team we came here yesterday, I call them Freddy's team coz he was the only 1 I'm familar with. They must have too much fun the night before coz we waited quite a while before they appear to have breakfast with us.

Well, breakfast was done and we left for Hatyai in a bigger group, Daichi hotel was our destination. Once reached, we head up to take a quick wash n refreshment, it was time for some relaxation, thats OLIVA MESSAGE PALOR!

It was Jean's first time in a "tuk tuk" with me even when it was our 2nd time in Thailand

We were so hungry we bought fried chicks to eat!! Wow Thai's chick r more muscular!! haha

We had some relaxing massage and once rejuvnated, we decided to head for Sizzler to fill out groaning stomach. I remembered the first time Jean and I went to Bangkok, we also had Sizzler, it was a resturant that server good yummy food!

I have no idea why, he say the food was nice but his face was saying otherwise!


My this dear couple was also rather confusing, they said the food was nice,
but the faces were showing otherwise???


Now the ladies love the salad bar..... but what the hell are the doing with 2 carrots?


Ohh... it was for the MOUTH!

After the fullfilling meal, Raymond took us for some sight seeing at the top of the building.
Hatyai from bird's eye view was like the old Singapore, alot of flat building and some high rise buildings.

Before going back to the hotel for a rest, I decided we should go visit the bird nest stall as I would really like Jean to try it out! She love it of coz, who dont like good tonic. It was cheaper compared to SG too. So guess what?? We bought 3 bottles of "Xue Yan"

After all the tonic, we headed back to the hotel for a short rest, gathered at the bikes and left for the bike event. Upon arriving at the event area, we were directed to designated parking lots. The foreign bikes were really treated like VIPS compared to their local bikes. The moment our busas and some other bikes parked, people started taking photos.

Freddy went to collect the event goodies and distribute to everyone. There is a T- shirt, a 2 day pass with 1 free jug of bear and 2 event stickers, the rest of the package is to enjoy the event which most of the time were people singing on the stage, more like a public KTV session.


All busas? Look again....


A chop on ur hands upon entry to mark we had the appropriate
pass and permission to enter the event.


Personal public concert? It really seems like 1 to me.


Here we are, the trip to Hatyai for the event!

After getting sick of the singings, Raymond, Kris, Andrew, Jean and I decided to visit the night market "Tao Rai". It was the night market that I came from the last trip where I did Jean's shopping for her. This time, she shall do the shopping herself.

She did managed to buy some stuff..... I cant remember what were they coz I only remember taking out my wallet and removing those cash from it..... After those shopping, it was really getting late and the market was closing up. We all left for the hotel to call it a day.....
