The last time my brake caliper were serviced, i notice scratch marks on the top of my pots, not wanting it to give any problem in future. Decided to change all the pistons.



Scratch marks on the side that are near the top where the brakepad is.



New shinning and scratchless Pistons.... New seals and o-ring.


My my..... guess who assist with the servicing again...... Who else but Andrew.... this servicing should cost $60+, guess im going to treat him a good meal!! thanks bro...

Mini MBF Dayout

Another Day out with the mini MBF Pals, We all (Myself, Jean, Alan, Carine & Avril) met at Regina and drove off to Clifford Rd to have out ba ku teh and pig throttle for lunch, other than the oil, fatty ba ku and pork, we had some chinese tea hoping it could flush the oil off out tummy....

Later, we were suppose to go to Changi road to make some stickers at a certain sticker shop, but everyone seems to me in a "urgent situation", somehow, all decided to go to Alan's house to do our "business" there.

The sticker shop had just shifted to Changi road, but we had little trouble finding it, here Andrew joined us and we made some stickers for our helmets and bikes, choosing and changing and measuring...... really need to take so long meh ??


Was made at HKL, it was the answer to the puzzle, but so far only jean and I know how to reveal the "black font" to the previous post answer hehe....

Finally! Every1 were satisfied with their stickers, now is to fill those empty tummies again..... Hmmm, someone suggested Bedok 85, Since we had ba ku teh, now we must have ba chor me...... hehehhehe Whose missing the goodies??? who who ..... Someone related to red ??

Later, we gathered at Changing Appetite to celebrate Angela's Bday. Angela, Stan, Charlie and Johnny came later and we all sang the Bday song for Angela. Had some nice Banana Choc and Tiramisu cake and finally call it a day.......

My front Bridgestone BT014 botak already, and wanting to try the dual compound HPX. Went to HKL, HPX left with 1 last set, but its early from the 06' batch, so there is no choice but to take the 2CT, at least its from late 06' and mid 07' batch, and made in SPAIN. Coz those from France got prob......

Since my Rear tyre still in good condition for riding, I sold my off Rear BT014 180 for $130 on the spot, condition 50-60% and bought a set of mickey and mini decals for jean, since she's been wanting a mickey mouse so bad on our babe.

The meeting time was at 8pm but I need to lead some people from Regina and we end up 45 mins late. The moment we reached, we saw the prawn mee coffee shop closed.Thats very very sad because the Prawn mee shop close ONCE every month and the operating hours is 24Hrs daily. Thats why its very disappointing, you almost cant miss the closing.

Weihong, Vicent, Ah seng , Bobby and his wife were the first to reach, they were siting on the opposite coffee shop. Well, at least there is still some food to fill our stomach. Charlie, Gary, Eries and Gorrie were the last few to reach because they got something on earlier. Everyone were enjoying their meals and chatty topics as some of us have not met for a long time.

Apart from the Prawn mee event, the 5 new Shoei owners brought and wore their Shoei Helmets for the first time today, so there was a little photo taking session for the helmets. After the session, every1 parted as there is still work for most of us the very next morning.....


The Prawn mee stall, close once a month, for Sept, its the 11th.

Our Shoei Helmet RF1000

These are our Shoei RF1000 helmets, made in Japan, sold in USA.

The Pink Butterfly is "Flutter TC7" while the Angelic/Demonic winged is "Diabolic 3 TC5" Both ordered from Ebay and shipped from USA via Express United States Postal Service. Jean's Flutter arrived on 1 Sept 07 while my diablo was self-collected from Singpost on 11 Sept 07.

Why did we chose these designs, initially we wanted to choose a "couple" pair from local Shoei design but nothing from the Shoei X-11 were nice except for Kiyonari and maybe ITOH. Kiyonari look to "beng beng" while ITOH look very messy.

Jean and I searched on for other Shoei models from the net and found some nicer designs of similar grade to Shoei X-11 and maybe lighter. The Shoei RF1000 has nice designs but none were meant to buy as "couple" set, the next option was to buy something nice and more similar to each other. In the end, Jean found herself a Pink Butterfly Winged helmet while i got myself a Dual Angelic/Demonic Winged design. To us, both the design were unique of its own and some how similar in 1 way or another.

To correct other people's doubts on the RF1000 Diabolic 3 TC5 and Z5 Diabloic 3 TC5, yes both model has the exact same design but they are totally 2 different model. The Z5 Diabloic 3 TC5 can be found and bought in Singapore but not the RF1000 Diabolic 3 TC5, so far its only sold in USA.

Scottoiler Fitment with Andrew's assistance and the dragon head story

Bought my scotteroiler for sometimes already and had been asking around ways to fit it to the bike. I found 2 good area to fit the oiler but while 1 area require an additional bracket below the battery the other require additional hole under the seat.

I wanted to mount the oiler at the bottom of the battery because mounting it under the seat will take up space, but I didnt have the bracket to do so. My friend who wanted to help me get a bracket suddenly went MIA, I guess he have gone overseas for holiday so I decided to mount it temporary under my seat until my I got the bracket and when the first bottle empties.

Andrew invited me to go over to his workshop( His void deck) so he could drill 2 holes for me under my seat. The vacuum tube was installed 1 week ago and today we just need to remove the seat cowl, a-lined the oiler, drill some holes, pull some tubes and cable tie it and thats about all.

We tot it was easy at first, it was rather easy to install but the difficult part is the careful planning, some adjustment here and there. Well aprox. 1 hr everything was done up.

And here's how its done....


First was about assembling the Scottoiler kit together to see where to mount it.


This is where the Scottoiler should fit, the 2 holes had already been drilled. So why 2 hole? 1 for the mounting L-bracket, the other for the oiler drain tube.


After Andrew drill the 2 holes for me, his job is done, he is free and started taking funny pics of himself, and many other stuff which i am not going to post it in my blog :X


Arranging the Drain tube, so it can run from the seat out to the rear suspension to the swing arm and where the drain needle point to the rear sprocket.


Adjusting the needle so it can point the the rear sprocket just above the chain.


Next is to get the oiler to work, after filling the oiler reservoir with oil, next thing is the bring the oil from the oiler to the needle, so how its done? Blow air into the breather tube with your mouth loh....

Of coz not lah, coz i didnt bring the bottle to pump air in, the next alternative is to blow air in !!!!!


With the oiler in place, the tube filled with oil and vacuum tube fitted, the Scottoiler is ready to do its job. Started the engine and let the oiler mechanism do its job, in apporx. 20-30 sec, the first drop of oil dripped into my chain... There all in place ;)

Once again I would like to thank Andrew for his kaypo assistance haha, just joking.

What happen after that should not be part of this story, but we went to meet up with charlie and Avril and together everyone went to Regina to get themselves 3 Shoei Dragon heads..... now MBF got 3 Dragon of its own color, 1 pink Butterfly and 1 dual faced Demon. All from the same family... Shoei!

For my own reference

Busa Gathering 31 Aug 07

Busa Gathering at Lavender as usual, Andrew, Jean and I were the first to reach around 8.45 pm and had wanton mee while Jean had prawn mee. Maverik, Joey and Freddie were the first few to reach after that and slowly, the usual guys came. Charlie, Vincent, John, and some usual busa riders didnt turn up. Ray and Kris came late coz they just came back from Bangkok.

Alan and Carine came at 10++ , they are not falcon riders and they came coz they kaypo mah haha, no lah, I invited them over coz Alan stay nearby. Andrew and I went to check out on what is the best way to fix on my Scottoiler, in the end, I only fixed up the Vacuum cable coz I havent decide where to fix the reservoir on yet, so I might be fixing it up tomorrow morning.

The latest guy who turned up is Mark and Vanessa, ohh they went to the Night Safari. Vanessa even brought her doggie along, and fed him/her some kuay teow..... lol

Why ? Because a freind just msg me that he bought twice at $150. I tot i was lucky when another friend told me he only manage to get at $160.....

Anyway I still got it at a cheaper price. Lucky but not so lucky... lol
