Rectifier/ Regulator $165 + $20(labour)
Checked with K S Motor, Rectifier cost $155, Starter motor $245.
Battery went flat again, and this time reading the manual carefully, realise that I didn't do a proper check the last time when my battery went flat. Measured the Battery when engine is running and battery voltage didnt even touch 13v, this shows that the rectifier is not charging the battery.
Went to K & T to confirm it, at the same time to check the coil resistance...... So confirm Rectifier gone case........
Defective Rectifier / Regulator...........
Actually it is not very difficult to check for defective electronic component, all u need is a reference and check for resistance/voltage/capacitance/amp.... basic technician knowledge... mostly using a multimeter...
