Pillar LED very different from Stock.

My headlight's position pillar led blown already. Went to a few shop to search but couldnt find exactly the same one. Only found the one with 4 LED bulb ($10 per pair) and the other single LED and flat ($20 per pair) . Since the position light is not very impotant in singapore. I bought the cheaper of the 2.

one of my wish list item.... bike cam assembly.

I love touring, and 1 bonus gadget for touring is this camera mounting. With it, I could film wonderful things along the trip.... so tempted to get this.... actual website

Actually it looks very easy to fabricate, just wondering who would be so free to do one of these and sell it locally....

Setting up TRE : Timing retard Eliminator for Busa

This is an old trick in the falcon's trick book. But I would like to post them, since im doing abit troubleshooting on my previously fitted DIY TRE.

Basically, the busa has some restriction:
1. The restriction on the ignition timing for first 3 gears.
2. The restriction on top speed.

Because the ECU detects the voltage/resistance of each gear, it does its restriction while detecting the value for that particular gear. To eliminate no. 1, simply fake the ecu with a value from 4th - 6th (2.7k, 6.8k, 15k ohms)gear. But to eliminate no.2, the top speed, the ecu needs to detect the value of 5th gear(6.8k ohms)(not sure if I'm right) while at 6th gear.

Removal of Head Light bulb. How its done

A friend was asking how to replace the light bulb of the headlight without dismantling the whole Head cowl and headlight assembly. So since mine is already remove to pieces, I could do something to guide him here.

The Head light assembly, the top is headlight and bottom is high beam light.

Remove the rubber will reveal a weird looking pin/wire holding down the bulb.

Press the pointed end to release the spring effect tension that hold down the blub.

The bulb is loosen for u to replace.

Please Redo the paint job.

I took my Head cowling and fairings to compared with the rest of the paint on my bike yesterday. The paint looked very different, not because of new paint and old paint color. The black has shinning glittering in them. My bike's original color didnt have any glittering at all.

Brought all 3 pieces down again and look for the boss directly like what john said. He was nice and offer to re paint to a matching black. But I refuse to repaint, I told him there is already a layer of paint and lacquer and it looks different from my Mudguard and Rear compartment's black color. I dont want them to F***ed up the next paint job and have to repaint, then 3-4 layers of paint, my bike will look like triple "B", a big bloated busa.

In the end, I told the boss, just smoothen out all the lacquer, I dont want any more repaint, coz afterall, the head and fairings are the first to be seen under most lime light. If people see the mud guard and rear compartment, then bo bian loh, will just comment "wah ur eyes so sharp....."

Black Paint with Glittering and poor Lacquer workmanship.

Soooooo Obvious, the Lacquer

Up close.

OMG

6th busa gathering for me.

This could be the last time the busa gathering is held on Wed, probably the next time, they will fix it on Fri night as not many are available on Wed night. Talking about not many are available on Wed night...... almost half the coffee shop were packed with riders tonight hahaha....

This is my first busa gathering in Changi Village one of the coffee shop, initially i tot it was the nasi lemak stall right at the back of the whole stretch of stalls. When I reached about 9.20pm, no one was there, after calling Charlie then I realise they mentioned "Last Kopi Tiam" not "Last hawker stall.

Already 2 tables fully occupied with riders when i arrived, tonight is a gathering for some groups to register to involve with the July Bike Week going up to Hatyai, Thailand. I wanted to be a part too, however the date clashes with one of the 4 sat classes for the month of July, I couldn't go. Freddie told me, nmind, there is the 3 - nation charity ride coming up in October.

The rest of the night were usually chit chats and getting to know a little more people, soon more and more riders came, and there was this guy riding a super four who looked very familiar. Jean told me we met him at our multi story carpark, that is when i recalled, and I took the initiative to introduce myself. He, (haven't asked for his name yet, but he is Jefffery's bro) told me he was at Blk 132 looking for a new apartment. He recalled going to Blk 132 but cannot remember me. Anyway he got his apartment elsewhere in AMK and invited me to join their frequent chit chat spot around Blk 600+.

Night is young, but in order to look young, I have to go home early because i need to wake up very early at 4.30am to report to work. Looking forward to the next gathering.....

Ohh forgot to mention, Andrew rode his Busa down today, he took over from the previous owner last Tuesday. Ride safely Andrew, live long hehe..

Mask for riding and touring.

Oxford Balaclava $12
HJC Breadth Guard $18 ($16)

@ MotorWorld

Usually Riding at night or in the rain, my breadth will cause my visor to become foggy, so I went to Motorworld to get a Breadth Guard, hopefully can mod it to fit inside my OGK helmet.

Some day time trip to Malaysia especially the last Melaka Day trip, I was perspiring alot inside my helmet, when I reach home that day, all the cushions in my OGK helmet were all wet, dam, and smelly. Apart from buying the Breadth Guard, I also bought the balaclava also call mask in short. The balaclava covered almost 90% of my head leaving only the area around my eyes. I bought it to absorb the perspire so my helmet wont be so smelly Hmm...abit freaky after looking myself at the mirror for awhile.

A farewell get together for Hilary

Given time to meet=>> 10pm-11pm
Venue=>> GP Esso , Perlin Queens
Date/Day=>>14June'07/Thurs

Hilary had invited us to join him for a meal in Msia, as a farewell gathering.
He had his Woodlands riders as well as the usual MBF riders.

Charlie and Avril were in Msia as early as 7pm, they went makan with their friends in Orang Asli, other than that, Vincent(Olin) was the 1st to reach GP Esso.

We were there about 10.45pm and we saw Olin,Charlie and Avril heading towards us from the R&R ( Guess they went there to la kopi while waiting...heee!)Not long after, Andrew arrived too.
Looking at the time,it seems to be slightly early so we went in the mart to get some drinks.

Charlie bought 2 cutie spongebob and starfish keychains, Clumsy Andrew who was in front of Charlie at the cashier dropped all the chewing gums off the table( well, dunno what he did) and making a comedy scene inside.

At 11.20pm,Derek and Tammie arrived juz before Hilary and his Woodlands riders zoomed in.
Smoke and chat till about 11.45pm, Everybody soon grew hungry, Hilary took some photos with his Woodlands riders before parting ways with some of them.

Hilary had come up with his decision to Perlin Queens instead of GP R&R.
Charlie and I had exchanged our bikes so that i could try out his BREMBO Brake Master Pump. Along the way,i was testing the sensitivity of braking slightly and slowly.. harder.....Whoa!Love the feeling!!!! So I brake, let go, brake, let go, brake, let go until i kena F*** by Jean. Dame it..better start saving so I could fix one up too. With all the 'vrooms! Vrooms!', we were there in a short while.

We joined 2 tables together, but everyone looked squeezy and uncomfy, so I took another table to join up. Poor Jean, she had been separated from the gers(Avril & Tammie)from one end of the 1st table to the other end of the 3rd table.

Upon settling down, Hilary realized one of the rider(Honda wave-->turned into Bandar Nursajaya) wasn't here, another friend Father John was at GP R&R(Hilary had totally forgotten that he's there waiting for us)..OMG! a mess, but Hilary managed to solve the problems with the help of his Woodlands riders(a BUSA rider,CBRR1000 guy,CBR F4i couple)...Everyone's hungry especially Andrew(1st to order 1st to finish) while Jean n I were the last to order last to finish(due to a miscommunication between us).

Around 1.10am, we set off for GP Petronas..now this time Charlie(Busa) exchanged bike with Hilary(Ducati),because Duc got no pillion seat,Olin pillioned Avril. So why did Charlie ride his bike here today for ? Test riding for all haha! Upon Reaching Petronas, we took some more photos with Hilary's Duc and everyone call it a day.

While riding back home on the way, I wave to hilary to let him know I'm moving away from them, He throttled up and reach his Right Hand out for me, as I reach out my left hand, I saw his pigu and wanted to smack it, but better not spoil the show. So with both of our hands reaching out for each other, I tapped on his hand in a way of saying "Take care man!" and I felt a "Thanks man" from him, with that I was on my own way home.

Farewell Hilary... ehh not so fast lah. Another 1/2 a month more haha. But boy he was enjoying himself all night!

My half hour Busa gathering (5th)

Last night before gathering,Charlie had arranged to meet Damian and I(together with Jean) at Tampines Gerry Looi Motorshop to see if they can patch the scratch on my bike, while Charlie check on his Aprilla250 (But is still not ready).

However, Ah Lao didn't want to do patch the deep cut as it's too troublesome to dismantle. After some discussion, we decided to look for other bike shop to do the job.

Derek came to the bike shop to "pick up" Charlie to Lavender Foodcourt for the weekly Busa Gathering while Damian left for home. Upon reaching around 9.45pm, we saw our usual seats occupied so Charlie walked over thinking that they were the Falcon riders, but they turned out to be the Fazer riders ha!

We walked on further to the other end to find two empty tables and joined them up. Once settled, I went to order my wanton mee.... but again(2nd time le) not open!!! So no choice I bought 'Wu Siang' to eat, OMG wat an expensive plate of WU SIANG $12.

Every after 5 to 10 mins, Falcon riders lands, this time round many of them turned up (even the gang that I went with to Melaka came). At every gathering, strangers became friends, so there were more familiar faces in this 5th meet-up, even my mindef bikers came by chance (to see Derek hugging charlie), and just as the conversation warm up and I having such a great time chatting, I was recalled back to camp....sighz! 30 mins only!! At each meet-up, I always stay for 3 hrs unless i had something on!!!! Miserably 30 mins......

Unwillingly to go off, I started to grumble to Jean, but in the end we still left at 10.15pm after bidding goodbyes.

This is one of the best gathering (in term of people around), I've ever been to, but need to go off early.

A common phrase : Good things always ends fast.

The deep cut from Pasir Gudang

At previous Pasir Gudang trip, someone accidentally scratched my bike with his bike's exhaust while trying to move his bike beside mine for photo taking. He slipped and accident release his bike, that is where his bike topple slightly and there is where the paint work near my signal light got its deep cut.

At the time it took place, I wanted to think nothing of it a first, since it was such a happy day, he was a friend of my friend and he didnt do it on purpose. Jean was alittle jumpy coz she saw how deep the cut is. For the past few days, i cant help thinking about the cut now and then, and i cant help but to keep noticing the cut everytime I'm near the bike.

Today, while washing and polishing my bike today, I cant help to keep looking at the deep cut n started to feel upsad and uncomfortable and unhappy and not really in the mood for anything anymore.

My bike has some scratches and dents here n there, but they appear either the moment i bought it or I created it. The new deep cut wasn't done by me, and it wasnt there when i bought it , the cut is DEEP and Obvious !! I felt so disturbed that I've decide to ask the guy who's responsible to do something about.

Ya, I'll call him later.... Rushing for work now..

Held Riding Jacket patching up......

My Held Jacket was bought in yr 2001-2002 from Brian who owns a shop in Kallang shopping centre since I had my Phantom TA 200. I was already traveling to Malaysia for Petrol and makan. Melaka, a new trip with new people

Last night, we had everything ready for today's Melaka 1 day trip, I even got my tyre changed and chain lubricated since the riding is going to be a little faster and longer then the usual Malaysia, pump, kopi and chit chat session which is always about 10-20 km to and fro from GP petronas, the first few petrol station from SG custom. The Melaka trip is about 450 km to and fro GP petronas. Therefore, a good preparation is very important not only for safety but also not to miss out anything at the last minute and it will be very troublesome there after.

I was invited directly, Vincent, a new busa forum member told me there is a Melaka trip and I called Freddy, someone whose been in the busa forum longer to ask for details for today's trip. He replied to meet at GP Esso at 9am, thats the other petrol station other than Petronas.

GP esso

I was the first to arrive at Esso, say 850am, Maverick, busa rider came at 910am, follow by Stan(VFR), . And the rest, Glenn or Jeffrey( cant remember his name)& tiffanie(FJR), the organiser, Raymond & kris(Busa) and last but not least Vincent(Busa).

Pagoh R & R Shell

All the poor flies sticking to my visor

6 bikes left for Melaka, stopped at Pagoh R&R for a break, fuel and left for Melaka. Riding from 140-260km/hr, the journey took about 1½-2hr, changing lanes and flashing vehicles, the trip is a little reckless but lucky nothing happens.

Famosa chicken rice

Another pic at Famosa.

Deco along Melaka street

Famous Pineapple tart, yes i bought 1 box.

See Jean going crazy over shopping stuff.

Jean and I at a cafe

More people taking photo at the cafe

Upon reaching Jonker(not sure the name) street, we tried the famous Famosa Chick rice stall and relax at a cafe after walking around looking at various accessories, clothing, shoe and tidbits shops. When we had enough of the heat from the sunny day, we left for Mahkota shopping mall.

My wife, Jean

Myself

The street across the cafe

Parkson shopping mall at Mahkota

Bike Accessories shop inside Parkson

Surprisingly there is a bike accessories and decal shop. But other than the jacket and bags, the rest were common item similar to Singapore bike accessories shop. Soon, everyone was shopping on their own, Jean and I walked around and saw this Bum City shop, it's a very big shop and the last time we shopped at Bum City, was the branch in Genting. This time, we went in and like the last time, we bought alot of clothing, and as usual, there is always discount at the Bum City. We finished our shopping spree and left for Starbucks to join the others. Almost everyone was there, chatting, lim kopi and resting before the long trip back to Singapore.

Mickey & Minnie set, for our Coming wedding in Oct '08

Jean and I came across a soft toy stall on our way to the toilet, we saw this 2 set of Mickey n Minnie soft toys and both set are the type that we were looking for, to place on our wedding vehicle on the day we are going to have our customary/traditional wedding. After a rider, Stan agree to provide some baggage space, I took out my credit card and bought the bigger of the two , hehe Thanks Stan, the VFR rider !! Pretty useful bike!!

Pagoh R&R Esso station

We left for Singapore and half way, the weather turned bad, soon it rained heavily and the sky darkens as the sun sets, we stopped at Pagoh R&R for fuel and break. Raymond had a call and someone asked to meet up at Perlin Queens for dinner.

Reached Perlin around 7-8pm, that "someone" that arrange to meet at Perlin didnt want to meet up anymore. We had a meal from the "zhi char" stall, I've been to perlin so many times and always tot the food were all good except the "zhi char" stall, i didnt realise that the "zhi char" stall's food tasted better among all the stall I've tried so far. My God I'm going to ask my kar Ki's to try this stall the next time we come for dinner. After a heavy "zhi char" meal, crake some joke and chitchat, its time to head back to SG.

GP Shell just before leaving Malaysia.

Once we reached SG, I took my Mickey n Minnie from Stan and thanked everyone for the wonderful 1 day Melaka trip. Hope to tour with u guys again soon... :)
